ECREU - Expat Citizen Rights in EU

Fighting for the rights of UK citizens in the EU
and EU citizens in the UK

Expat Citizen Rights in EU - 'ECREU' - is a lobby and self help group set up to make sure your rights are foremost in the minds of those negotiating your future within the EU.

We are working to get British MPs and Brussels representatives on your side and willing to state your case in any discussions and negotiations resulting from the UK's decision to leave the EU.

So if you are concerned for your wellbeing as an expat citizen living in another EU country after Brexit, you will not be alone.

Both sides have agreed that 'sufficient progress' has been made for negotiations to move to Phase 2

But their Joint Report outlining areas of agreement, falls far short of protecting our rights, particularly in relation to freedom of movement - download the Joint Report HERE

We recently supported a lobbying campaign to MEPs in Europe and the UK. Several - notably those in Europe - came back to say they stood by the EU's original offer to protect all existing rights. We now wait to see if they stand up for this when the EU Council votes on the report.

You can help influence MPs by sending an email or letter.

Our volunteer team all share your real concerns. Most importantly, we have many years experience working at the highest levels in UK Government with impeccable contacts, plus connections with established expat campaigners. ECREU is an Association registered in France with coordinators and consultants in other EU countries.

We are in touch with MPs and EU officials who are already sympathetic to your cause and are best placed to open doors, so you can be confident that your post Brexit views will be powerfully represented at the right time and in the right places.

Representing you
Expat Citizen Rights in EU gives you the means to have your voice heard. As a member, you become part of an EU wide organisation set up specifically to represent your needs and your specific concerns, which we include (anonymously) in the statistics and analyses that we provide to Peers and MPs. It is one way you can add your views and concerns to the arguments and be sure you will be listened to.

So please don't sit back and hope it all turns out right in the end. Have your say by joining Expat Citizen Rights in EU now. It costs nothing, but could give you the power to influence decisions which could define your future.
