ECREU - Expat Citizen Rights in EU

Fighting for the rights of UK citizens in the EU
and EU citizens in the UK

ECREU Aims and Objectives

Our only aim is to work to protect the best interests of UK citizens living in the EU and EU citizens living in the UK following the British Referendum of 23 June 2016.

We will talk with politicians and officials who share your concerns for your future, regardless of their party affiliations, with the objective of persuading them to make sure your future wellbeing living in your country of choice is protected by any changes in national or international legislation.

Expat Citizen Rights in EU does not seek to make political points and does not support any political party or group. We do not campaign for 'Remain' or 'Leave'. We just want the best outcome for expat citizens whatever the outcome of Brexit.

What Expat Citizen Rights in EU stands for

Representation
Other European countries have MPs dedicated to expat citizens. We believe UK citizens are entitled to the same.

We are working for the establishment of Expat Constituencies with elected MPs whose sole duty is to represent UK Citizens living abroad. Only then will expats have a voice in Parliament and a real say in their future. It will also open the door to Votes for Life.

Votes for Life
Abolition of the law preventing expat UK citizens who have lived abroad for more than 15 years from voting in UK elections or referendums.
